Gas bonnet lifters?

right i have searched and searched and its doing my head in, all i keep finding is bonnet lifters. I want rid of the bar that holds the bonnet up because i have been told if you fit omp struct braces you need to remove it, can you get hold of these for a saxo

Not true mate. I've got an OMP brace and it doesn't catch on the bonnet stay. I would still like to know where to get these bonnet lifters from. I've been looking for ages, but the only option i've found so far is using boot lifters!?! personally i'm not sure these would be strong enough...

YTou can get bonnet lifters off ebay of from a pug 106 GTi. There are rumours that the saxo wings flex under the pressure though and only a few have done it. None of em seem to be on the forums, and no one else is willing to try, including me lol

well i am up for it, surely if fitted correctly it wont damage the chassis. i just want to open the bonnet and it stay up lol without the bar

if you do get some pics up mate.

You just get 106 lifters, wled one end to the wing chassis and attach the other to your bonnet. Job done

most 106 have theese not sure if mounting point is on saxo bonnet though

right what about 306 lifters i cant find 106 ones lol
