    Right goin to be fitting a couple of these seats soon hopefully but i just had a fought. Im going to be disconeting the drive seat which has the air bag wire thingy will this fail a MOT, if so what can i do.

    take the bulb out the dash is one way todo it i think..

    rip out whole airbag system thats what hardcore strippers do lol then change steering wheel

    i hate airbags bloke from work had a golf gti. had a crash and all they did was box him around lol got hurt more by airbags then he would of if he didnt have them

    same mate of mine gt concusion from one hit him against his window would have been fine otherwise. suppose they save lives and major injuries at high speeds tho

    he was doin 70 on main road and car hit his tail. He just spum round and round then into a wall lol car was fucked that will teach him for speeding

    or just cable tie the seatbelt pretensioner to the seat rail.

    christ sounds bad so its a right off then! never a fan of gtis after the mk2 maybe with the exceptionof the 30 or 35th year aniversary whatever there on now

    As far as i know, mot rules state that if a car is fitted with air bags, they must be in good working order. therefore, get rid of the bulb lol.

    flashing air bag isn't an MOT fail, well least it wasn't for my MOT

    An airbag saved my brother from what would have probably killed him. Utter nonsense to suggest all they do is bad, wouldn't have them if that was the case.

    Same goes for seatbelts, a friend of mine was in a coma for 2 weeks after crashing his RS turbo. There was 5 people in the car and 4 were practically untouched yet he nearly lost his live because his seatbelt held him in place and he took the impact of a lamppost. Yet i can guarantee plenty of people would go mental if i suggested you didn't wear a seatbelt.

    although them thumping about can be annoying.

    why my current toy building didnt have airbags

    in the haynes modding saxo manual it talks about wiring 5 amp fuses into the connectors to fool the system into thinking they still there, then you can hide them under the seat
