Samcos Full Set

  1. #1
im at the stage of rebuilding my vts after it blew up..

and id like a complete samcos set..

ive had a quick look on e-bay but no luck..

any one got any links or pics to where i can get a full set of these

    thanks

Try demon tweeks mate. They only do the rad hose kit and induction piping
  3. #3
For the VTS samco only do the 90degree induction hose and thats it

Sucks really. The VTR they have done 2 coolant hoses for but these are different sized to the VTS

You're better off asking a company like SFS (think thats the right initials) as they will make hoses up. Samco are reluctant to make anything new as they were going to do my hoses for me and then backpedalled
  4. #4
ok thanks for that i'll see what i can find
  5. #5
    Might be a dull question...

    But why use Samco hoses?

is there a gain from them..
  6. #6
dont think there is any gain... just make the engine bay look better

very exspensive cosmetic mod. however there are silicon based and are more resistant to heat and wear than standard pipework.

    try chris astley motorsport.

Exactly the same but more widely avaiable than Samco, direct fit and probably cheaper

Silicone hoses are harder-wearing, help to lower in the bay, stronger and look better that standards

Fairly prices mod but imo worth it if you can find a good kit

Can't seem to find a kit for the Rallye..

    Everythings for the GTi's.
  16. #16
sfs do the full vts set.

2 coolant hoses and the induction hose
  17. #17
does anyone have a link to the SFS set??

    VTS coolant set

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SFS-Silicone-C...QQcmdZViewItem

    VTS induction hose

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SFS-Silicone-I...QQcmdZViewItem

Just bought the coolant set myself, SFS RRP on these is £150 for the 2.
These people are the cheapest ive found as they offer free postage and at just over £140 its good, compared to Demon Tweeks whos is £176 as they charge for postage

The second one is a really good price too, Samco induction hose is over £70 so its a big big difference considering quality is supposed to be pretty much identical

wicked thanks for that mate.. add'd them onto wish list will pay for them friday

ordering so much for this car so far ... lol

    bloody thing lol

willsy strikes again, i shall be ordering after i get my bucket seats
  21. #21
Kinda annoyed that my induction hose is a Samco one now, aside from its cost, its standard size to fit in with normal inlet box etc, so for me to get it to fit my Procomp scoop ive got to get the stanley knife out
  22. #22
Ill get some pics asap Willsy there pretty good bit of kit
  23. #23
I have a samco 90 elbow in black, only £38 from demon tweeks. The only difference is that you have to have some form of catch tank for the oil breather as the elbow has no fitment for it

  24. #24
Ah now my Samco induction hose is bigger than that and does have the attachment for the breather hose

I may sell this one on and just get a 90degree elbow then as its a shame to butcher this one and i want to fit a catch tank aswel rather than use the original breather
  25. #25
You can see how much i had to cut off my both my procomp and the sfs hose to make it fit

Thats not with standard throttle boddie system mind you so i'm not sure how it would all line up

Case of trial and error im affraid once the engine and slam panel are all back on
