    need help with my clutch

it died today so the car aint going anywhere and as i've removed all towing eye hooks and holes it can't be towed (i know i should have seen it coming!) i'm thinking i'll attempt changing the clutch myself but i wanted to know how hard its gunna be and how likely am i to mess it up?

whats involved with swapping the clutch?

    cheers

its quite an easy job to do on paper, but the fact that you have to take the gearbox off makes it much more time consuming and hassle.

just whip it all off, whip new one and and box back on again.

you make it sound so easy dave!

took me about 3 hours just to get my driveshaft back in today... all because of 2 small dowels!

the driveshafts have to come off?

they dont have to come off, you just have to pull them out of the gearbox. if you dont kno what you are doing, i wouldnt bother to be honest. a decent guy (like me)lol should be able to change a clutch in 2 and a half hours ans thats havin 2 fags in between.lol

as said i wouldnt advise you doing it by the sounds of things, unless you think you can and really want to.

remember haynes is your best friend.

when we changed the drive shft on mine we undid a few bolts and split it from the hub and it just fell out.
