what needs to be done, why is there a Crankcase breather on the samco pipe?
  4. #4
I dont think that breather is attached there , just close to the pipe.

Cituning are meant to be producing some BMC CDA kits with custom piping, got a pic of a C2 kit fitted to a VTS that was posted on the ssc the other week, looks good Looking to get a VTR 1 when released, meant to be a couple of weeks yet though.

enclosed kits draw in cold air from the front of the vehicle.
Open air filters draw in warm air from behind the engine.
cold air is better than hot air = BMC better than Pipercross open filter etc etc

I have heard that ppl who have changed from the pipercross to BMC CDA have felt a difference, to be honest I dont rate the pipercross viper at all, sorry. So in my opinion as long as you get rid of your pipercross your doing the right thing

You do have other choices like the Green's RamAir, or the Procomp kits though the Procomp kits are alot more pricey though do show the best gains! just depends if you want to spend £180 or £300. At the end of the day these are all very closely matched so doesnt make any real difference which road you choise as it comes down to personal preference in the end.

I have noticed the car is alot more responsive with the BMC on compared to the pipercross
