simple question. just wondered what noises, knocks, bangs, creaks people have with their lowered saxo. Mine its quite noisey even though everything has been changed! so just wonderin if its time to stop moaning and put up with it. cheers all
How noisey is your suspension?

#1
-
#2I have a slight crack every now and then..lol
Duno what it is but seems ok..no looseness or knocking..
-
#3mine creaks every now and again.
think it is the mixture of hard springs and the lower brace.... -
#4mine is a right bitch she never stops moaning.
-
#7I have creaking from the back round corners lol
-
#8Mines not too bad (touch wood). Think the ARB clanks every now and again.
Otherwise all good.
PS - I have your email matey, havent got the internet at my new place so
cant mail the pics out. Im at work at the moment so cant email stuff off my
hard drive. Will get them out ASAP
Back to topic! -
#9Mines awfull.
Had new wheel bearings, hubs, struts, spax springs, drive shafts, drop links, wishbones, ball joints, and guess what....
It knocks, bangs and cracks constantly!! Oh joy!
-
#10Those noises came as standard on saxos.
Mine has vertualy all new front susp, except steering components, and i have a slight knock occasionaly. -
#11yeah i get the noise's too
i will start to worry when they stop tbh lol -
#12got mine lowered last weekend with the blistein and ebiach kit from kam racing!
no knocks so far! im very impressed and its not stupidly so can still go over speedbumps and get on my drive..
-
#13striped out cars sus makes lots of noise, your get used to it
-
#14mine did, you need to make sure the collars are tight on the struts otherwise the inserts / dampers will rattle. some kits like konis, come with special nylon washers that pack the insert abit between the strut and collar. stops any knocks and bangs.
my rear arb knocks like milk bottles together every now and then.
believe it or not, the red car was unreal when it was stripped, no cracks, knocks or bangs. just alot of road and exhaust noise lol -
#15If its knocking and banging there is going to be something wrong. The most common one if everything is new is something being loose or a incorrect part fitted. Have a look at your rear ARB for example as most people dont do them up tight enough. The other thing is bearing can fail if fitted incorrectly. Then there is always the possibility you have missed the part making the sound. There are many bits you may never thing of replacing. Then it may not even be the suspension but another part. good luck getting is sortedQuote:simple question. just wondered what noises, knocks, bangs, creaks people have with their lowered saxo. #16most lowered saxos seem to creek on the rear on bends what ever speeds
-
#17my does, its quite soothing now..
reminds me of an old french person. -
#18Mine has no noises at all
-
#19mines not too bad considerin how low it is, just get the odd bang when i drive over 1 of britains many pot holes! (but i have an idea! why doesnt the government introduce road tax to fund road resurfacing?)
-
#20Dont be daft! All our taxes go towards speed bumps and mini round abouts!
-
#22Mine was fine until I got my new alloys. Now I get a small clunk if I go over bumps too fast. Its a bit squeaky too
-
#23mine's been fine *touch wood* no real funny noises !!
