system or backbox?

   a backbox is just for a bit extra noise, wont really notice power difference.
   Full system or even Cat back will improve power, sound and car will feel more responsive also.

   LOL DATS BETTER!!! lol. aite question i have many lol. im baffled what to do. first of all can i get a de cat with the standard exhauts on my vtr??? will that make any diff in sound or power? what systems or makes are good for producing power as i had punto before put a 4"system on nice rumble but no extra power didnt decat though! and i cant afford bucks if you get what i mean so no trip to powerflow lol.. cheers!

   Magnex systems are great for gains and very wallet friendly in my opinion. GMC btb is excellent, but very pricey.
   You could get a decat on the standard system, which would make a slight differemce, but would prob be worth getting a backbox at the same time also.

   aite i have a look at magnex systems then how can i get de cat pipe from? i can jus ask kwik fit to fit it on the sly 4 me cant i? wot bout de cat abd bbox?? wots sound and ain on dat? cheers saxoal!!!

   get a good 5 - 8 hp gain from a decent mix of exhaust system and induction kit.
   decat can be fitted by yourself in 10 mins. They can be purchased from any good exhaust supplier.
   Universal backboxes may be slightly harderto fit yourself though.

   i dont really no any good exhaust suppliers? what do i ask for just a pipe for decat on saxo vtr mk 2? can i get it on the net or do you know where to get one mate? i looked at magnex dere hittin low £300s lol pure dollers lol. well ne system be ok with decat to get power?? cheers mate

    ^ correct. Didnt notice that.
    If you get a full system, and then you get a manifold from say, GMC. which will be de-catted, just keep your original, so you can put it back in come MOT time.

    that was lucky i nearly bought it off gaz 2nite. so how cums they sell em 4 mk2s as a pipe if they are in the manifold? power loss then ordered exhaust system 2day nearly decat pipe off gaz now gotta save for manifold. im annoyed lol

    No idea mate. MK2 are defo in the manifold though.
    have fun saving ! lol
    there was a couple of gmc ones on ssc for sale a little while ago.
