Right i am ordering some newman ph3 cams and i need help in understand lol basically i need to know what sort of other stuff i should buy i.e standalone ecu, because i see he can get followers to. Is it worth me buying them to, also what sort of pistons should i go for. I dont have a clue about engine mods lol does anyone know a good site for me to learn from.

dont really need pistons if you not going any further than just cams.standalone would be the best option but many people jus remap the standard ECU.

having a good intake system and good straigth through exhaust is all youll really need to get the most out of your cams

cheers mate, but after cams what should i go for. As i have ashley exhaust and i will be getting bmc, i want to try and start buying the parts now so i can get most fitted in one go

ph3 or less newmans cams wont require pistons.standalone ecu is the best option (although more expensive) because you can map your car more accurately and gives you chance to progress to other things later if you wish(pistons,boddies,turbo).cheaper option is to re-map the standard ecu.
idealy you need a descent exhaust system,manifold and filter otherwise you chokeing your engine so to speak.

if your engine is low mileage e.g. less than 50k then i wouldnt bother changing the followers.while your getting he camsdone buy a waterpump,cambelt/tensioner.
