Air Intake

   Rite, basically, my mate has a saxo and hes taken off the 'letterbox' style intake off and just left it. the sound is now awesome! However he is going to get a pipe from it leading to the front grill to make sure cold air comes through.
   i want to do this to my corsa. Is too much air coming in bad? i got told tht the letterbox bit is only to stop loud noises. If i got a pipe leading to the front grill would it ruin my engine if too much air came in?
   Is this perfectly ok what im trying to do?

   The more air your engine gets the better mate and the engine will only take in as much air as it needs so there's no such thing as too much

   so putting a larger pipe thru is fine

   Awesome! My mate did it to his quiksilver but hasnt put the pipe to the grill yet. Sounded like he had an induction kit.

   My mates bro is at loughbrough doin engineering and he sed it may add a few extra BHP

   ive done this. took off the intake pipe and put some gosh (sp) mesh stuff over the air box to keep the dirt out. sounds just like a have an induction kit.
