bottom end, replace what? and cleaning...

   just bought a bottom end with 72k on the clock....
   
   just wondering if i should replace anything?
   
   and where can i get these parts from?
   
   and what products shall i use to clean it as im going to paint it.....

   you could rebuild it if you want. will more than likely be ok though.
   i used parafin to clean mine and hammerite to paint it.

   well i was just thinking i dont know the history of it so it could of been ragged to buggery or looked after....

   rehone bores
   big end bearings
   crank bearings
   oil pump

   citroen, probably 106parts but they might charge more, send the wrong parts and take ages to deliver, as usual
   you could try specialist citroen tuning companies aswell like GMC.
