    HI guys

I am in need of some urgent help....

I have a 51 plate saxo which has a 106 gti engine conversion believed from a W reg phase two gti) and am have serious issue when it's running...

I have just completed a engine rebuild due to head gasket leaking and losing compression, this has all been completed and the car now idles well and compression is spot on with no loss, the timing is spot to. There is no air leaks or anything like that as far as we can see. I have changed idle control value, lamber sensor, fuel/oil filter, full gaskets, thermostat, head bolts, value stem seals, and temp sensor. think that's it so far.

What's happening is.....the car will idle fine and when stationary will idle fine and rev out no problem but soon as it goes out for test drive and gets to 3 - 3half thousand revs and the car just gives up and collapses under load!!!!! basically gives up!!!! we plugged it into a computer and it flagged up ECU issues could this be possible if it worked fine before??? can anyone think of anything else to check before I fork out for new ECU and pray that works....

please can anyone help or have they experenced anything like this

You say you have changed "idle control value, lamber sensor, fuel/oil filter, full gaskets, thermostat, head bolts, value stem seals, and temp sensor."

Is that to try and fix this fault ?

no buddy i had other issues with iddling which the iddle control value sorted, the lamber sensor, fuel/oil filter, full gaskets, thermostat, head bolts, value stem seals was because we re built the block

This sort of problem could be related to a lamba sensor. That would be my first guess, are you able to try the old one back in?

sadley dont have it buddy as it got damage when it was out which is why we replaced it. someone also said crank shaft sensor??? not sure if that would make a difference....

Still think its the lamba sensor or a fuel pressure issue
