ok i have jus found out that my head gasket has blown by the looks of things due to my overheating problem, how long will it take to change on a 1.4 furio and also how much would it b for the gasket, and the last thing is i need my car for college so should i only use it when i have to

#2I paid around £100, for a headgasket, headbolts, exhaust and inlet manifolds/seals. cambelt, waterpump and idler pulley iirc for my westcoast 1.4.
Should be able to get it off and replace the bits in a day. Depends if you'll need the head skimmed though ! -
#3mate, you shouldnt use your car at all if teh HG has gone.

#4If the head gasket has gone, your car wont go far at all. Dont use it til its fixed.

#7no worries ma dad is workin on it we got to takin the head off last night them realised tht we didnt have the socket to take off the head bolts but we shud b gettin it done today. i am based in telford lol

#8£4 for the correct socket down halfords, or you can try getting away with an 11mm socket

#9When i realised i didn't have the socket I bought it from halfords, used it, then took it back!!IT didn't have a mark on it, just said it didn't fit - but I have since bought their 150piece pro kit now for £99 - bargain !!!
