I have a job that pays really well so i am prepared to spend the money, i have another car to drive while this one is off the road and also this car has been in my family since new and would like to make my mark on it. my sister had it before me and had all the ice installed but now its mine and i want to personalise it. Is it possible to put a VTR kit on it as they have a kit that fits the back of them which is slightly different to the 1.1. Also i know its only a 1.1 but i am planning a engine transplant after my premiums go down.

You could just leave it as a flat arch and put a VT' engine in it and make it a sleeper .

But if you really want to kit your car put a VT' kit on , theres a few people on there that have done it . Have a search about on the site .

He has a seperate thread for his vts engine conversion

id say get a VT kit but tbh its money spent on what !NOTHING!

lets say £250 for the kit fitted (not sprayed tho add an extra 150+ for it sprayed aswell properly)

when coming to sell honestly do you think you would get that £250+ back?

plus fitting a vt kit on a flat arched saxo aint straight forward you need to angle grind your arches so the kit fits right the arches on vtr/s are not the same as flat arched saxo's.

personally id leave it as it is and just do the normal things like backbox, lowerd, alloys, tinted windows, angel eyes, nice ice system, good alarm, maybe private plate, upgrade the interior to leather or bucket seats. at least those items you can take off and put to standard when coming to sell the car.

standard cars always get better value (in trades/Px's) then modded saxo's my saxo is modded rather alot BUT i can easily remove all the bits and put it to standard .

PLUS this is your first car personaly spend your hard earned money on servicing and keeping it on the road.its a saxo things do go wrong lol.

vt kit or go old school and go crazy with the bodywork. d&m front bumper always looked nice imo when combined with a badboy bonnet

It's not all about getting your money back though is it.. it's about the fun in seeing the transformation, making it your own etc..

I bet you've done loads of things that you'd never get your money back on, heck we all have.

oh hell yeh i know i have the difference is i done it to a VTR not to a 1.1 you want less things on a 1.1 so it goes faster lol.by the time he has done all hte mods on it his insurance will be as high as a vtr LOL.

we all say yes its fun to do it but we all end up saying dam why did i spend that much LOLS.

the money he may put into a 1.1 he could save up and then get a furio or a vtr/s .why you think gazzza is selling up his 1.1 for he has now realized we was all telling him if you mod a car make sure it has some power or your just wasting your hard earned money and i can garentee 99.99% of other sax-p members who know gazzza will agree with me on that.

so I may aswell educate before one actually does spend loads.

positive and negative feedback is all GOOD feedback i.e you learn from negative feedback but also learn off positive.

you just have to be able to read & understand what is negative and what is positive.
