Engine revs low/stalling (READ FAQ THO)

Problem: My car idles very low (100) - It will then stall and its worrying because when i come to a junction it can stall so...

I noticed when i rev it to say (1000) and then stop revving it doesnt seem to bad but when i go from 2500 and take my foot off accelerator my car seems like its going to die the way it stalls, the HANDBRAKE light ALWAYS comes on when i push the accelerator in and then let go (This is because its about to stall i assume) However it seems worse

It also happens when i have my clutch in so it is definately not driver error

CAUSE: My car seems to become worse the higher my revs are, i.e i will go around 4000+ and then when i pull up at lights or stop at a junction my revs are extremely low

Solutions that didnt work: I had the black box replaced but it was a 2nd hand one, i think it was a coilpack maybe, i also had a hole in this little lead/wire thing, had that replaced and that didnt fix it either

I also have had it on a diagnostic machine 2x and nothing has shown up, they have cleared it aswell or whatever that means.

    PLEASE HELP ME GUYS!

Does it run ok when you first start it up from cold, and then start to play up after the car has been running for a few minutes?
I had similar problems to you, but would start fine and run fine for a few mins, turned out to be the lambda sensor

    Cheers

well it seems to be worse when cold but even when the engines been running warm its fine.

It used to be alot worse ie, i would start car and it would instantly stall, i forgot to mention, it wouldnt even start once, i kept turning the ignition but it wouldnt tick over fast enough it would not stall if i kept my foot on accelerator but as soon as i took it off it INSTANTLY STALLED! - i had my foot down for 1 MIN! and i repeated for about 5 mins then finally worked when i turned the key
