Airbaged VTS seats?

    Dont know if this has been covered but thought id ask.

    Im about to buy a (W) 2000 VTS, Ive herd that they dont come with airbaged seats, 2001 onwards are fitted with that standard. My question is if I brought a pair of airbagged seats off ebay or something would they go into my car? Would be it a case of plugging them into the car using the wire undeath the seats? Cheers.

    Someone told me that the wire underneath the seat could be something to do with the drivers steering wheel airbage though, just wanted to know if anyone knew.

    On non-airbagged seats the wires under the seats are for the seat belt pre-tentioners.

    am sure the plug is slightly diffrent so you would need to cut and join the wires. ive heard the vts has 3wires and the normal seats have 2. i could be wrong but im sure i heard it somewhere

    Am up for the work to do it, just want the extra security if i end up having a bad smash as I drive on the motorway allot. If someone knows let me know, really want this as the first thing I do to the car.

    Mk1 VTS has 2 wires so maybe the third one is something to do with the airbags?
