Rite i was thinking of changing the cat for a decat pipe this would be on my mk1 saxo vts, will i still notice the power gain? As it will be on a standard exhaust system. As im not keen on the drowning bass tone from the aftermarket stainless steel exhaust systems? cheers

#2yes you should, it should feel ever so slightly more responsive, although it wont be a huge power gain maybe a few bhp

#3by doing a cat back S/S system as well, will it add more bhp or bleeding ear drums? or to keep standard center pipe and backbox and have the cat bypass with a 4 into 1 or 4 2 1 manifold? cheers yates

#4not sure whether it would add any more with a change of system, i have 4-1 manifold which is alot better over standard, i cant compare it to the 4-2-1 as ive not experienced one.
the 4-1 manifold will give you more at the top end of the rev range, whilst the 4-2-1 will give you more lower down, personally i chose 4-1 as im going for cams, and they also are more top end rev range, so i will have them all 'kicking' in together so to speak.

#5Well not long had a operation on my knee to remove cartlidge and the painkillers ive been on make you drowsy so been a kip most of daytime. i wasnt expecting anyone to be up still either. would the manifold make the difference still with standard center pipe and backbox? cheers yates

#6well i have standard exhaust on mine, i fitted manifold with standard exhaust then later on added a system, but now back with the standard exhaust but stil 401 manifold, it does make a difference over standard manifold obviously still not much, but having manifold decat will make a difference that you can notice
had a few mates had that op, im currently sat on duty, its 4 in the morning here and im on till 8 -
#7these worst thing was that it went no spectacular footy injury or dare devil stunt but moving my 3 seater sofa and in turned on it at a dodgy angle and that was it, i fell like a sack of spuds.abit pathetic really. i had a mk4 escort xr3i s2 rs turbo replica and i had custom 4 into1 race manifold to take 2.5inch bore exhaust so on went a powerflow flexi connector then to full rs turbo scorpian s/s straight through exhaust 4 inch rolled out tip and christ that was loud. thats the only thing thats putting me off doing the full exhaust. take it its guard duty? my dad and 2 of his brothers were R.A.F. hes left know but hes just started with the mod search and recovery (as civi) on the same island as yourself. cheers yates. im new to this 1 ques how does the reputation work i.e why would you add to someones cause of how your cars rated or for helpful info from members to say cheers for help sort of thing?cheers yates

if you look to the left of the screen down the side theres a green button, scales, spech bubble and an exclamation (sp) mark, you click on the scales and you add it there
i did have a full exhaust but couldnt be arsed with it -
