tinting the rear mk2 light

    can anyone write a short but comprehensive guide to tinting the back lights best products to use way to go about it etc.

    Take Lights Off, Tintspray From Ebay/halfrauds/motorworld, Spray Can On Light Using A Long Sweep Method Till All Lights Covered Just A Light Coat And Repeat For How Darker Tine You Want

    Make sure you clean the lights and use de-greaser so the paint will stick to the lights better.Also if you tint them to much it will fail a mot.

    did a practise on some old lights i had laying around and im really nervous because even after just 1 coat looks illegal and also says not for road use i have been spraying really lightly as well.

    are you using normal paint? its best to mix it with loads of lacquer, or use proper tinting spray. They usually dry lighter than when you paint it

    its stuff from halfords specifically for tinting rear lights

    sorry yeah proper tinting spray i just shocked at how dark its gone with just one coat on a trial light.

    I tinted mine the other day, I have a spare set at home which i will swop over come MOT time just incase
