#2if its a GMC superchrage kit its prob from GMC... :\ im sure you will get asked to search.

#3GMC s/c kit will be from GMC surprisingly. http://gmcmotorsport.co.uk/
What info are you after about the kit? Quite a lot of info on their website - but depends entirely on what info you're after.
And which 'lad that has the GMC s/c kit'? As i know about 5-6 off the top of my head, including myself - and i'm sure there is a girl called Beck who has one on her 106 Rolland Garros. -
#4do not fit a supercharger if you think it will ever be reliable. unless you kept the boost down and dont hammer it to hard it may last 6 months.
imo for a proper supercharger/turbo set up you need about 10k -
#6You can see good gains and still have good reliability. The GMC supercharger kits have been so refined that there basically faultless now. There is a good chance that they will out last much of the rest of the car. Its only if you get silly things start to brake. But you do not need to pay anything near 10k.

#7well in my opinion if the guy quoting 10k was including things such as uprated quaiffe box for eg, helix clutch, atb diff etc etc i expect it wud come to nearly 10k as 6k for conversion box and atb will be around 2.5k and cluth £800 max

#8You don’t need any of that though. Its like saying you have to spend over £10k on a cam. Its simply not true. You can get a good 40% gain from a SC kit with out having to change any other parts. Even 50% gain is very unlikely to see any real problems. Uprate the clutch and then even further is possible. A good helix clutch starts at around £250 or for big power a group N is under £300. Go for 100% gain in power and £485 ATB diff or the likes of wild be needed. You will start looking at a lug drive clutch then. At this point you are best off going for forged pistons is well to inshore reliability. But many people have had this power on stock pistons for many years. Also around this power engine mounts start to become a problem in the long run. Centrifugal charges tend to be quite light on engine parts.

#9cheers lads. yes i do now its from gmc lol.. i wanted info on the kit used in a amazon green saxo i cant remember the lads name. hes on here and he has red ducting from his s/c to his filter. cheers for all the info. do you have to run a fifth injector or can you run a s/c on stock ecu etc???

#10the kit for mine has worked out at 1700+ vat. well good price!!! i dont have to do any other work apart from fitting the supercharger and gmc have told me ill have 142bhp. if i fit intercooler and 5th injectorand remap ill be looking at 167!!!!!

#11Ermmm....
What does that actually include though?Quote:the kit for mine has worked out at 1700+ vat. well good price!!!
Have you actually spoke to John regarding this? As by the sounds of what you are saying - you won't need any kind of engine management or extra fuelling for 142bhp. Highly unlikely.Quote:i dont have to do any other work apart from fitting the supercharger and gmc have told me ill have 142bhp. if i fit intercooler and 5th injectorand remap ill be looking at 167!!!!!
Also - John would have highly advised you to get an intercooler straight off. Nothing will kill your pistons quicker than high inlet temps.
You don't have to run a fifth injector. You could run 4 larger replacement injectors. Or 6 injectors. Or 8 injectors. However - you will need some modification done to the ECU in order to allow this to happen. Either a piggyback system of sorts - or standalone.Quote:do you have to run a fifth injector or can you run a s/c on stock ecu etc???
