Tinting back windows - DIY???

Hi ppl! I want to tint my 2 rear side windows but do not want to pay loads of money. Is it easy enough to the tints yourself or is it better to let the professionals handle it???

the rear windows are a piece of piss to do, three torx screws and out if comes. Use a mate though tinting on your own without any experience can get tough

Do it yourself, like Scott said try n get sum help n also sum patience!

I tried it before n 1st attempt went balls up...second go we spent a little more time n it was a gud job n thats wit no experience at all!

cut the film to the outside of the matrix then clean clean clean the window then spray over with a solution of baby shampoo and water (weak) then as you peal of the film backing spray the film (tacky side) this will keep the contamination down then place the film on the inside of the window then with a soft rubber blade work out the water from the middle out then get a hard peice of plastic and rap it with kitchen paper then push hard still working from the middle out. This will push more of the water out and absorb it when you get to the edge. then leave it in the sunlight as long as posible as it is not just heat the cures the film it is uv.

Good little guide there.. Instead of baby lotion , I use Fairy Washing up liquid (mainly because it keeps my hands soft!) to do it. As they act the same way.

I screwed mine up the first time, then did it again and was a lot better . Got my mothe rto help me do it aswell, which was a great help !
Although , I have since had them redone professionally in gradient tints. I still think my limo black on the rear side windows looked good and was easy to do.

Despite what alot of people say doing the rear windows yourself aint a bad thing....prepare for them not to be absolutely perfect....i asked this very same question a few weeks back and people said pay someone...
I thought fuck it i'll give it a go if its poo pants i'll pay some...
It paid off...mine are almost perfect....1 tiny piece of dust on one window....im chuffed to bits...
seriously take your time...get it right and your be packing spare cash in that wallet for other mods
