How much for this?

Right, bought my Furio off a bloke in derby and the exhaust on mine is really loud, and the exhaust on his VTS, a lot quieter. He misses the noise, and I want mine quieter so we've decided to swap whole exhaust systems.

Neither of us want to swap them over ourselves, so we're going to meet halfway and have someone like ATS swap them over. How much do you reckon we'll get charged for this?

dunno, but your a lazy fooka anyway
  3. #3
hour max if you just do it yourself.
  4. #4
cba fucking it up. ballpark figure 2 swap them?
  5. #5
How can you fuck up an exhaust change? It's so easy you will be kicking yourself knowing you've forked out money for someone else to do it for you lol

dont mean to piss on your fire, but arent the VTS exhuasts bigger bore?
  10. #10
its an ashley exhaust system on my furio, im sure standard vts is quieter
  11. #11
undo bolts, slide exhuast off hangers, hang new exhaust, put some exhaust putty round the joins and then bolt together.

yeah it will be quieter, but for one the std VTS box is massive compared to the VTR/furio box, its not round its a long ribbed box. And i think the bore of the pipe is bigger. Its meant for a more powerful engine, it might be quite restrictive for the furio

    how do u mean restrictive?
  14. #14
well the standard exhuast systems are designed to fit the engine size, running for performance and sound restrictions.

The VTS backbox is below, see how big the muffler on the backbox is, cant find a pic on ebay right now but the VTR one is rounder and smaller than that

If its bigger its probablky gonna restrict your power and be very very quiet
