i've jus put a 5" jap style exhaust on my saxo 1.1i, it souns fuc#in sikkkkkk. i tuk it to trax last saturday night in birmingham,n i think apart from da turbo's like da scoobys n rs turbos etc, i fink mine sounded one of the best. n it even pops alot especialy wen i rip it in 1,2,3 n den jus let it cruise in 4th. now im thinking of removing the middle silencer to make it sound louder n better. wot do u guys think, should this be done?also is it illegal to de-cat it,cuz i herd if police find out im fooked n also MOT will be fooked?

Removing the CAT is not illegal, but failing an MOT (and driving without an MOT) is. As you will fail the MOT without one.
Could remove the centre silencer, but you have already said it is quite loud, maybe doing this with the centre section would be a bit to overkill ?

wot does it actually do to the car if i was to de-cat it, would it increase any power or anyfing like that?

A catalytic converter acts as a restriction to exhaust emmissions. To reduce the amount of emmission entering the atmosphere.

This also restricts 5 - 10% of engine power (depending on engine size/oe power)

therefore a decat pipe (straight through steel tubing) replaces the cat, and therefore restricts the exhaust gases less.
The car will feel more responsive, when set up nicely with a good exhaust system.
