richbrook gaitor help

Right i bought some goodies from autosport yesterday, the gaitor has an Elasticated bottom, which i dont need (i have a richbrook surround as well) on the box it says it can be removed if required, how do i do that? does anyone know? The only way i can see to do that is to cut it at the bottom which seems a bit daft or am i completely missing the obvious!
Rep will be given guys thanks x x

i had a sparco gaiter with a richbrook surround on my first vts. the first thing to do is remove the old gaiter. put the surround in place then drill the holes for it. next cut the stitching on the bottom of the gaiter and remove the elastic from inside it. it should now flair right out at the bottom. now put the gaiter in place and place the surround on top of it in place. screw the surround into place (obviously the screws go through the gaiter as well). once all the screw are in get a nice sharp stanley knife and trim the excess material by running the blade carefully around the outside of the surround.

above all the biggest mistake you can make doing this is to rush it. take your time especially when arranging how the gaiter sits as you screw the surround down and also with the trimming and it will turn out fine.

    hope this helps!
