Supersprint Manifold rattling?....

   Anyone had this problem?
   
   I do have a lower strut brace but i wrapped it with exhaust wrap a few times so if it moved it wouldnt knock against it!
   
   Might it be as there is no bracket on the SS?
   
   Has anyone made a bracket or had one made?

   I have the same problem except it's the join that is rattling against something under the car. Going to get a bracket made, got quoted roughly £50 + VAT. Hopefully that will stop the noise!

   Wrap some softer material around the lower brace
   
   Have you run the car with your head under to see if that's definately whats causing all of the noise?

   I've had mine up on ramps and it's definately the join that rattles on mine.

   did you use a new kit for joining the manifold to the rest of the exhaust???

   Yer used a new kit! with the centre gasket! The problem was the lack of bracket on the manifold as mentioned! So i made one myself today! Freee! and it works perfect! How to guide on my progress thread!

   nice one. Best too work up a bracket if required. Often fitting stiffer engine mounts helps as the manifold and engine don't move around much

   you could go for one of the motorsport kits like the group N.. or the powerflex lower mount is a cheap alternative and should surfice

    I want a full grp N kit there about 100 quid from pugsport not inc p+p! There like 180 from GMC so might just order me a set sound!

    Are Group N harder? IIRC i thought they were...

    Yeye Grp N's are harder than standard but Grp A's are harder! Usually contain solid items such as in the pugsport kit the lower gearbox mount is a machined piece of metal! Hardcore!

    you could try the harder powerflex lower mount. That may help and doesn't cost anywhere near as much as a full kit

    Thought about that but im still thinking full kit! Grp N's though not as hardcore as Ricky!

    Just to update everyone, had a bracket made earlier for the supersprint manifold and now that it is mounted to the gearbox it has no rattles or anything now, perfect! Only cost £23 aswell.

    no1 on this site has a proper groupA kit.
    
    thought i might add that. hardcore is rose joints and added welding.

    Just got a bracket made and welded on for me lol. The one you made looks good but because of where mines was rattling, the one like you have wouldn't have fixed it, I needed one that would hold the pipes more to the centre of the recess.
