fuel jets

    i wanna get bigger fuel jets for my vtr but nit sure where to get em form also would the ecu need to be messed around with as well. any help would be sweet. cheers

    Fuel jets? Jets are for carbs, do you mean bigger injectors? Bigger injectors wouldn't be needed unless you were going for a decent turbo setup.

    thanks for ur help, what about if i was to cam it? what would be the best setup to go for and how mush would i be looking at.

    i think just camming and a decent remap should sort things out

    You wouldnt need to touch the injectors if you were just putting a cam in it. I aint clued up on prices or power outputs for cams etc on VTR's mate as these cars are new to me so i cant comment on that.

    If you change the injectors for anything other than direct replacements - you'll need to adjust the ECU to suit. Although i'd imagine it'll be able to adjust for a very slight change in injector sizing - anything much bigger will result in overfuelling as the injectors will still stay open for the same amount of time, but because they can flow more in a set time period, more fuel in the engine.

    Good standard injectors will be fine up until at least 160bhp on a VTS. Not sure about a VTR but i'd imagine 130/140.
