Lowering Rear Seized Torsion Bar Help!!

   Hi all, recently came round to getting my car lowered. Was wanting to go 80mm rear and 60mm front.
   Got front springs on fine but when coming to rear one side of torsion bar came out after about 7 knocks with a lump hammer but the other side was seized solid.
   After 45 mins of continuous hammering with a lump hammer and v.large spartan pole lol it would not move at all. Used about a can of WD-40.
   Took to garage and got heat on it and still it wouldn't move so took an air hammer to it. After 10mins of air hammering the garage gave up and said i was fooked if it was coming out.
   
   Therefore i'm stuck with the only option of buying a new rear axle and i happen to know these aren't cheap.
   One of my mates said something about SPAX PSX adjustable rear springs for saxo vts' does anyone have any info?
   
   Much appreciated if anyone could help as my cars 60mm at front and standard at the back lol

   it will come out eventually persistence is the key.. it took the garage who did mine hours to get the bar out and they do them week in week out.

   have you tried a slide hammer mate
   
   an your mate must be thinkin of something else, unless he's talkin about doin a spring conversion on the back which would be dearer than buyin another axle lol

   best bet really is to join your local region on here and then ask people in there who they went to in or around your area.
   
   I had to travel for mine but am glad i did as more then likely saved me money in the long run..

   Try coke(the drink) and wd40 mixed together and spray it on with a spray gun

   thanks for all your post guys, gna giv it a try at another garage then. anyone know how much it would cost for a garage to get a seized torsion bar out though? reli dnt think mine will free up
