rev's drop after being 'booted'

   When my car gets pushed to 5,000+ rpm, for a few seconds after it's idle will drop to 800rpm... normal idle is bang on 1000.
   
   this normal, as ive never noticed it before?

   id say poss the the fuel filter or maybe ur lamba sensor or more likely the icv idel control valves is clogged easy to clean out get carbs cleaner from halford (also goo for flame throwers) and a new gasket from shitren and give it a good clean make sure it moves freely is not maybe the air temp sensors if u need help give me a bell 07738913381

   i had this problem turned out to be fuel filter needed replacing and i thought standard idle for a car is 800
