Misfire

    Hi...

This morning and like every day sinse I've had the car it started nothing wrong with it could probably drive to the end of the earch lol.

Got in it this afternoon again nothing wrong... get home parked up and I noticed the the car was really lumpy and shacking lots... when I was coming home though I did put my foot down abit

So yeah the car was lumpy but not so lumpy at 1000rpm then unnoticeable at 1500rpm.

And recently the car has felt abit down on power (Dont ask me how i know but you get you know your car when you drive everyday do you not?)

Anyway took it down to the local garage and the guy took off the HT leads and said "4 is missing" giving me the misfire (I guess) so I was gunna throw 4 new HT leads and spark plugs at it and a new oil filter and replace the oil. And then might give it a full service lmao

I think this might fix it but has anyone had this sort of thing before and if so what did it turn out to be?

Could it be anything else? The car has done enough miles to be dead already 128,000 *cough*

    Cheers all

    Info:
    1997
    VSX 1.4mpi
    128,000 miles
Hasen't been serviced sinse I got the car back in early last year... (Silly me)

Nice to see another 1400 VSX on here .

First of all do the service and then if it is still misfiring, check the distributor cap. I am actually about to make a thread, as I have changed my plugs and leads and now it misfires badly at low revs... Grrr
