Is there any point...

... in sticking an induction kit (raceland with green filter or BMC) on a 1.4i if thats going to be the only performance modification i will be making? I understand the gains will be very minimal so to save spending £100 on induction, should i just stick with green air filter in the standard air box?

if your only going to do one performance mod, you may aswell go quality.

    bmc tbh

if thats the only thing your going to do, then tbh you'd see beeter gains from a de-cat pipe, and that would only cost around £30-40.

i have thought about a de-cat pipe but im sure i have read somewhere that there not mot friendly... and if they werent i dont want the hassle of swapping them over before every mot test.

perhaps if you are not too bothered about performance just purchase the raceland kit without the green filter. Saves a bit more money

    what about a sports cat?

performance and youll still get through mot

Sports cats are over priced imo id rather have a de-cat sounds nice better performance on some engines depends if they perfer back preasure or not. id say get the Raceland green cotton one from what ive read its better bang for buck then most other inductions im sure as hell going that way when im getting my car, damn insurance
