Wheel refurb/paint

    hey guys, i have VTS wheels on my VTR and i thik the lad hwo painted them used normal white paint as is bubbling and chipping away, which looks CRAP!!!!

    how much am i looking at the have the paint removed, and have them sprayed white again but all done properly and laccerd n sealed etc ??

    and anyone no any good places in the north east, near newcastle that could do it, cheers guys

    tbh mate, your probably better off doing it yourself if the wheels themselves are actually in good condition.

    just sand em back to bare metal, few coats of primer, few more of paint, then a couple of laquer.

    its normaly 40-45 per wheel had mine done at a shop and they look spotless

    btw, forgot to mention thats £40 per wheel and i'd be getting them done for you at work i run a modding company and have a guy that just does wheel refurbs/ resprays

    Theres a place in Darlo that does refurbing for £25 quid a wheel any colour you want, just had mine done gold!

    as said do it yourself, its easy!! gd results are easily achiveable too

    sorry I say leaving it to the pros.

    The cost of materials ain't cheap, and the time you gotta put in...

    And yes people's look good when the do them themselves, but more often than not they get a chip before long etc, and also photos hide imperfections

    As above I say go for the pro finish. There is a place in birmingham just off the bristol rd that do a strip, powder coat and laquer for £20 a wheel. Not worth messing about yourself at that price.
