    Hi All,

This is my first post on here so plz be kind lol ,

I've purchased a 1.1mpi saxo furio and to my delight found out the engine is foooked done no.4 piston. anyway I've been offered a good engine from a peugeot quicksilver 1.4 and been told it will fit as there identical bar cc.

can anyone advise me if this is correct ??? and if so any problems i'd encounter i.e. would i need to change ecu's to a peugeot ??

    Many Thanks - Adi

Many thanks for your reply m8, much appreciated
had an idea i'd have to change the ecu, was hoping i'd just be able to plug the pug ecu into the saxo harness and i'd be o.k, ive been told the crank sensor, and fuel pumps are the same between the two but ive no idea with regards to the wiring harness etc ??

    ecu will need unlocking irc.

not actually converted a stock ecu.

if you are being offered an engine id take it all as it should make plugging in and playing easyer.

so i cant just plug the pug ecu into the harness are they a different fitting, what do you mean m8 when saying ecu needs unlocking, does it need chipping ???

    Thanks - Adi

furios are 1.4 as standard ....so why is yours a 1.1 if it is a 1.4 as it should be (furio) then you wouldnt have to change anything for this 1.4 pug engine....do you mean forte, 1.1 forte?

AHHH Sorry yes i mean the 1.1 forte, told you i was new to these i feel thick as foook now lol

the ecu would have a code for the immobiliser of the car. so would need to be unlocked on any car.

Right mate ive got you never thought of that, i pressume its a dealership job that ?? anyone any idea of a cost ?? i think i might just be better off picking up the 1.1 mpi engine off e-bay or somewhere

i would get the 1.1 engine if its gonna cost more but if you have the money why not ...why not even get a vtr engine ?
