Spend lots of time preparing is the key.
    Mask it correctly.
Sand it first of all. the plastic primer. minimum of 3 layers. flatting it in between layers, gradually going down to finer grade wet n dry.
Then you want colour. Again 3 layers. Being careful not to get anything in the paint. let it dry a good hour or two in between coats.
Then lacquer, I'd suggest 4 coats, to protect it from stonechips etc.
Careful not to get fingerprints in it.
Then masking tape etc off, and you're away

take them off to reduce the chance for overspray...

also i normally leave 30 mins between primer coats (3 of) and then leave it for 12 hours before spraying.. works a treat... same thing for the paint but longer .. 3 coats of paint (this time wait an hour between) then 12 hours

then lacquer i normally just do 2... and leave it for 1 hour between then 24 hours before whacking it back on etc..

just dont rush and hold the cans at the same angle and about 20 cms away

greenhouse with a heater going is pretty much a low bake oven. Its so expensive isnt it but surious its pretty difficult to get much cheaper that £300. Can do it yourself but it never looks as metallic and shiny as the a bodyshop.
