    What is the offset?
Can it be altered with spacers?
the PCD is the distance from bolt to bolt right...

PCD.. pitch circle diameter. yes the distance between the bolts/studs.

yes the offset can be adjusted with spacers , ie: converting a ford fitment to a citroen fitment.
But say you found a set of wheels that werent in the offset you are after, when you order the wheels, state what car it is for, and the company will send you sufficient spacers to get them to fit.

yes just moves the wheel a mm or so further from the hub, saxo offset often quoted as et15-18
