to D.I.Y or not to D.I.Y that is the question

    Just bought raceland 4-2-1 manifold from Kam, is it an easy enough job or should i get it in the garage?

    I dno wots involved in the job, cnt b that hard tho can it?

    If u fink garage is the better option as any1 had 1 fitted and how much was it for fitting?

    DIY!! Easy job! getting bolts undone is hardest bit.
    And being careful not to break any of them!

    Do it yourself. You will learn so much too and its all valuable experience. Its easy too mate.

    Ok cheers lads will let u knw ow i get on . I guess the bolts will be easier to get out when the engine is cold?? they will expand when its hot wont they.

    definitely do it when its cold mate. That and the fact that you'll have no hands left, if you do it when its hot lol

    WD40 all the bolts up before hand

    When I had a piper manifold I found that getting the old bolts off were very easy if you get something like this freeze stuff, then I used a socket with an extension bar on it lol. Could undo it with my little finger with ease

    LOL yh dnt wna b burnin my hands, good thinkin. Cheers for that lads d.i.y it is then. wil post sum pics ov my handywork when i get my alloys and the manifold on .

    easy job if the bolts dont snap if they do u got problems

    When I did mine I put new studs and nuts back on, was only around £12 from Citroen, just ment didnt have to put old rusty ones back in !! Would recommend it !

    Work at an engineering company so finding bolts n that wont be a problem weve gt thousands lol. hope the bolts dont sheer tho or im fooked lol. drill and extractors will have 2 come out of the toolbox and they are a twat to get out.
