   i was saying the bloke i bought it off was not 100% sure of the mods cams re-map ect, so my question was do you think they have been done, i am going to get it tested. whoever stopped my thread

    8ish more like with cams, isnt 0-60 in a vtr 9.2? i cant see it hitting 7s although not sure.
    
    if the car was mapped and then the rev limiter upped then 60 in 2nd would be possible, i didnt see the other thread so cant comment on anything in that.

    1) your car doesnt do 0-60 in 7 seconds, even if your bf was lewis hamilton it wouldnt happen
    
    2) i doubt it would even if it was cammed, maybe if you had an s box
    
    3) timing it with a stop watch is a joke and half, use proper timing gear at pod, york raceway etc etc

    Well i wouldn't say it if it didn't, it has been timed in a few different ways, i am not 100% sure what its had done to it which is why i mentioned it as everyone has said my car is fast for a vtr, it's my 1st one so i don't know, my car actually beat my mates vts on more than 1 occasion, he was gobsmacked

    you are live in my area i think? so you can compare your car to mine. mine does 60 in about 7 maybe a little less

    no a stopwatch isnt a good method of timing. for instance a friend of mine who had a GTI did a run (with me in the car) that gave a read out of 6.5 second 0-60.
    
    this is of course shite. one we had a combined weight of 150kgs, 16% of additional weight to the gti. the engine was standard.
    
    a second out is a big difference. you cant tell if a car has been buggered about with just on that basis alone which is why Jay posted the above comment. proper measuring equipment or a DECENT rolling road needs to be used to give some indication of any hidden mods done.
