inlet manifolds

hi, i currently have a 1.4 saxo the one with the squareish lookin inlet manifold. i have been offered a vtr inlet manifold and throttlebody, i belive it has a triangle shaped flange on it? the vtr inlet and throttle body has had work done to it, ported and polished. would these items be compatible to change? or if not what work would need to be done to make them compatible if possible.

i originally wanted a 1.3 rallye inlet but i cant seem to find one. and a friend told me that it would be even more work? im not very experienced so please excuse me if i sound a little dumb lol, any help much appreciated.

You can always just swap the head as well if need be. The hard bit will be getting it running well without a remap. I have a GMC ported big valve race head and GMC inlet and Alpha tbody setup going very cheap.

how much would you want for that setup and wouldthat be ok on my 1.4 its a blacktop engine ?

I am very open to offers as I no longer race these things. The engine I raced with were 1.4 blacktops so you should be fine.

On a side note none of the MPI inlets will fit a SPI engine so you will have to swap you head if you were to fit a Rallye or VTR inlet.

i take it you want to do this to get extra power?

if you do want it for extra power and you are thinking of changing heads then i would get a vtr engine and stirp it and put ur head on the 1.6 bottom end witht he 1.6 cam and inlet.

im not 100% but i think the enigne codes are on the head aswell so you will most probs get away with it if you did forget to tell the insurance.

blacktop VTR inlet/TB will fit on a black top and on a early silvertop(1 plug ECU & cat under car) Also a rallye s1 inlet will fit

A silver top VTR inlet/TB will fit a late silvertop(3 plug ECU & cat in manifold)

This is the same for the heads & injectors. If you want to gain some power swap head, injectors and inlet/TB. after this you will need a remap
