Left shock leaking

    How much would i be looking at £££? To get another standard one and fitted to my VTR?

    My ride is really bad at the min, feels like suspension isn't working at all lol.

    Whats the cheapest i'd be looking at paying for some non-standard shocks + springs, wanting to go 50mm. Not really bothered about handling tbh, but would be nice to see gains.

    Seen this... Ouch at price though =\

    Might just go to local garage, get them to fit a new standard shock absorber, then just buy some 50mm springs. Then get rear adjusted the same. This sounds like cheapest / best option for me?

    Will 50mm be ok on standard shocks? i know 40mm is, but 50mm might be pushing it abit?

    Paul could give you a set up with the Apex spring rather than Eibach. Wouldn't hurt the wallet as much. Would be in the region of £315 with the B8 shortened shocks

    Otherwise you could get an o/e replacement and fit the springs. Obviously this isn't ideal for hand;ing but the shocks do cope. Bilstein do B4 replacement shocks that are o/e spec. I could give you a good saxp price on them if thats the route you want to go down

    B4 shocks are £120 including delivery for the whole set

    B4 front shocks only are £70 including delivery

    Apex 50mm lowering springs are £51.25

    Hmm interesting

    Going to have to see how many pennies i have

    Would i be able to have B4 front shocks with Apex springs, then just get the torsian bar adjusted down 50mm.

    Would that work? Not too bothered about handling as long as i dont see any big changes from standard.

    Been on motorsportworld website and they've got a full spax kit -60mm for £200. Think I'll get this then get it fitted for about £100.

    £300 for whole suspension fixed and looking ok.

    How do you rate Spax? Any good?

    personally the spax kits i've tried I haven't been impressed with at all. I've removed them and fitted Konis / Bilstein which I felt gave a superior ride

    What are these b4 shocks at £120? Are they Blistein's? I'm down 50mm at the moment with the Eibach springs on standard shocks, but i'm looking to upgrade the shocks too in the future but i'm not fussed about a super shock or anything, just something better than standard that'll be fine with the lowering will do...

    b4 shocks are o/e spec

    b6 are o/e length uprated damping

    b8 are shorter length and uprated damping

    Ideally you'd go for the b8 as they are more suited for uprated and lowering springs.
