Perspex Windows

  1. #1
Anybody on here selling, can get hold of or know of link to buy perspex windows?
do people usually go for all around or just rear? would like to keep my tailgate as i think its safer

a cheap option is to buy a couple of sheets of 3mm polycarbonate and then make templated from the original glass. Polycarb won't shatter like perspex and can be cut with a jig saw

This is what I'm going to be doing soon.
front and back for me I think.
  4. #4
and does polycarb go down the front sliders ok without scratching?
  5. #5
i am looking at getting the 3 rear windows in polycarb 2. I know demon tweeks sell them for £200. Not sure of anywhere else though.

im assuming it will be much cheaper to do yourself than paying £200 eek

A knife would break through it.You should only really do it if the car can be garaged, alarmed or kept on a quiet street...

Toys R Us have some pretty nippy models with plastic windows.
  29. #29
ye so must be quite easy then for some pikey to push it in?

we usually rivet the windows to the door frame. Its not coming out in a hurry.

If a thief wants to get into your car they will whether you have glass windows or not. Don't leave anything out and with decent security (ie an immobiliser) all they would be able to do is break in.

i leave nothing in the car worth having its as simple as that

an kam i am thinking of riveting the front ones in mate
