Who does engine conversions?

  1. #1
Im bored of my VTR, so i now want VTS power.

Is there anyone on here that can do me a full engine conversion? Thats the 98bhp VTR to VTS.

I will supply the engine and box, just need it fitting.

How much are we talking just for labour time??

Sounds good mate! Where are you from?

Im in derby. obviously you need to have all the parts ready, and pay £35 for me to hire an engine hoist unless its provided.

    i'll do i in a day for the price i PM'd you.

done plenty before so know what im doing. pm 'colin' ask him about his, done his on here.

your doing an engine conv for £100? and it takes 3 days so thats £33 a day? i wouldnt bother for that. you'll soon get sick if you start doing them that cheap.

i have use of a proper garage now so all tools lifts etc are right at hand.

not being funny mate, but you've had a canny few threads about your conversion not starting so are you 100% confident on doing 1 for someone else?

i thought that when i saw it, £100 your mugging yourself off lol
as williams says you can do it in a day easily, if you go hard you can do it in about 4 hours

    Nice...

    So tempting...

Can you go from a 3 plug VTR to a single plug VTS?
  10. #10
oh no its not me lol. my mechanic has said he wouldnt mind a few for pocket money. hes a mobile mechanic so doesnt have his own garage. so he's fully qualified but he'll have to rent a hoist unless theres going to be a few so he can buy one and it'll pay for itself over time, if theres enough interest.

3 days meaning 3 evenings btw is his normal garage at home. £33 isnt going to be his days pay as he has a day job. sorry if i didnt make this clear.
