staem problem????

   after my service i drove my car home quiet hard ( god damn that bmw 318i) but when i got back the mrs noticed steam coming from above the headlights??????
   
   is this normal. when i had my service the mechanic spilt oil everywhere in the bay so could it be due to this????
   
   He also said i have a very very minor oil leak from rocker cover gasket thinggy but is so minor it doesnt need replacing.
   
   is this related to it?

   Probably just got some oil on the manifold or exhaust and it was burning off

   You might be able to smell burning oil when you out the blowers on?

   no but i have the blowers turned off.
