98 standard i belive and what induction kit open may lose power and what exhaust and manifold
  3. #3
    thinking a full ashley exhaust
just a pipercross filter (open but going to make up sheld and pipe)
unsure about manifold saw piper on in f/s section!

i have the same set up, appart from manifold i might get the gmc or the supersprint. Ashley exhaust you will see gains perhaps 1 or 2 bhp nt to sure, also i have decatted. I am changing induction to either raceland or bmc as the pipercorss just add noise tbh

just bought it today mite put it back yet lol will decat also!what do you make of the asley exhaust?thinking about ordering the 2 1/4" exit twiin box system!but unsure yet pal has a pugsport one mite buy it!also what manifold would you say to use dont want to arse about with filter

the ashley is differnet class mate, its loud espically when decatted. But if you stay low revved you cant hear it (below 2000) i would say speak to kam you could get a raceland manifold for cheap from him or splash out more for the supersprint but its up to you its your money

depends on car mate, no car comes out perfect bhp, you may have 100 bhp standard or 96bhp. best thing to know is to rr before and after, any gains you recieve will be minimal till you get cams remap etc
  12. #12
i beleave you can remap chip the vtr with 3plug ecu?so my mate said as he foned dastec and they said no?
  13. #13
what do you mean, can you remap a standard ecu. Yes you can but its better to upgrade the ecu, as you have more adjusting ability if you know what i mean
  14. #14
you'll definetly have vts power!!! just have a race with 1 and work it out from there. add or deduct 2hp for every car length you win/loose by. simple.

Just dyno the bloody thing before and after,

"what will i make" posts are useless because everyone has different opinion/ideas about what different mods give (rightly so)

And noone seems to have bother actually finding out (yet)

I try not to make claims of X bhp improvements to sell anything. This obsession with peak bhp figures is not good as the engine with the most power isn't nessesarily the fastest on the circuit. I will give examples of cars that have similar mods and have been dyno'd to give people an idea of the improvements but that doesn't mean everyone will get the same.

On the S2000 engine the TBs i'm fitting will gain 50bhp in the midrange and naff all at peak. And I'm still happy
