  1. #1
    pipercross viper kit is 230.
raceland cold theed with green. is 100.

    so

    Whats The Dogs balls?

    and wats annes robisons wrinkles?

  2. #2
People say the viper gets hot to so it isnt cooling the air properly but mine worked fine

Fancy the raceland now as imo they look better.
  3. #3
the viper has metal parts.. absorbs heat.. and you get big heat soak..

raceland with green filter people say is the best you can get for a saxo tbh
  4. #4
if you search the amount of people posting good coment abotu the raceland with green is incredible, so i ordered one and im sure you will after you read around
  5. #5
I would choose the raceland green tbh
  6. #6
Raceland, and thats from someone who owned a viper, there pointless.
  7. #7
I agree the viper isnt as good as the raceland i have just fitted my raceland an i love it it sounds f**king awesome mate well reccomended
  8. #8
    Thanks lads.
  9. #9
So is raceland the best choice then?
  10. #10
You would be mad to spend more than double the Racelend cost on the Viper.

If you want something other than the Raceland get a BMC... but the Raceland's good.
  11. #11
pipercross viper mate sounds awesome 2, not too throaty
  12. #12
i have the pipercross viper too, heatsoak my arse as its built the same as a bmc etc...

was designed on the vts engine too..

abit steep on price tho and id probally get the green because its cheaper..
  13. #13
the raceland isn't always the best as its not a straight fit and other options like the bmc are made a lot better.

For the price it performs well certainly
  14. #14
Go for a bmc, I replaced my raceland with a bmc, Best thing i done...
  15. #15
raceland with green all the way i had a viper and went to the raceland weel reccommend it mate

no its not built the same as the bmc, the bmc doesnt have a metal sodding case!
  17. #17
bmc or raceland with green filter, those pipercross things are shit imo
  18. #18
Id go for bmc tbh.. easier to fit, better looks and respectable performace gains
  19. #19
Standard airbox with a panel filter and cold air feed will give the best gains, fuck forking out £100+ on a shitty induction kit! Unless u want looks?
  20. #20
best gains you want a 106 rallye s2 intake with a pannel filter but thats alot of effort!

pipercross vector or their ful carbon ones

personal favourite is diblas flow master! but more more more money

viper is carbon fibre tube too and dont gimme metal crap cos the raceland is a metal pipe so heatsoak there, not even bloody carbon fibre so more heat soak the the plastic rather that carbon fibre and to be honest you get what you pay for i have had both and notice little difference appart from sound and personally i want a diblas flow master they are cartridge loaded solid tubing and proved with temp probes the tinyest amount of heat soak
mostly for corsa tunring when they dump a turbo on the 1.8 (corsa c) but the 1.8 corsa one will fit the vts fine jsut check with the hose size
each to their own i guess just people diss anything they dont own or big up what they have or what they like, you wont lose more than like 2 bhp and you lose that extra oomph by having a full tank of petrol so tbh unless your gonna race what does it matter? try one out

i have a raceland full kit silver pipe but the basic filter carbon imitation all the bolts for 30 quid if you wanit lol

VIPER IS METAL!!!!!!!! look at them, they have large metal casing with the carbon surrounding it. Green only some have metal tubes, bmc doesnt have any. saying because its not carbon fibre wont prevent heatsoak is also very nieve. Carbon isnt the only material which can prevent heatsoak, the plastic of green/raceland is very good at it infact

... prove it.... tbh is all personal u wont even notice the difference and the raceland sits behind metal beam at actuall y gets fu*k all cool air flow....

the design of the green/raceland has a slight lip where air comes under the slam panel.

Ive known people who have switched from vipers and have had better figures on RRs.

also you say that theres fuck all airflow under the slam panel. the cold air feed on the viper isnt exactly a huge diamater pipe, look at the surface area of the area you are giving airflow to.
  24. #24
think im might have to get myself a raceland.
  25. #25
oh and magically from that massive raceland oppening it gan just get into the tiny pipe after it.... yer.... right... im not saying viper is amazing its just raceland is not all that! and yes air gets under slam pannel... through radiator ohhh now thats really cool air flow there....

Airflow into any of the enclosed system (green/raceland etc) are crap.

BMC with a cleverly placed intake or Green open with a decent amount of heat shielding from the engine would be my choices

No system is 100% efficient and loads of people swear by Green, others swear by BMC, others Viper. All good in their own way.

If each manufacturer did the same thing choices would be seriously limited

slam panel is above the radiator. I had a procomp if you want to be picky abot saying this that and everything as i feel they are better made, I just as i have to keep saying do not feel a design which incorperates a large amount of metal in the main case which air needs to pass through is any good.

Also as you may notce the air from under the slam panel isnt BEHIND the rad (as you clearly stated wrongly i may add) but above it slighty before, therefore its getting the air from the front of the car, because the airbox is plastic it does not heat up like metal does and so the air pasing through it will heat up less.

and if you want to be sarcastic please continue.
  28. #28
i dunno why im fighting this cos i honestly dont care.... but your pushing this whole metal thing when the pipe the air runs through on the raceland is metal and it runs clean through that.... and its closest the engine so pointless neither are particularly good for heat soak.....

well considering you initialy posted when my comment was a comparrison with the BMC V viper in relation to each other and the metal content i find it quite amusing that you have completely ignored that. Especially as i have said i prefer the procomp (no metal) or the old green which also used a plastic inlet pipe. You are just trying to pick on little things which have no initial relation to the reason you got the arse anyway.
