want to lower my vts but dont no how far can lower wivout changin shocks?

40mm should be fine, anything more than that would put alot of strain on the standard shocks, also any lower and you'll be hitting every speed bump lol.

Although im still thinking of lowering mine in the due course i havent decided how low yet.

how much it cost 2 lower 50mm all round?
  6. #6
Anymore than 40mm and I would get shocks too. I'm down 60mm at the front and 80mm at the rear. I bought a Spax full sus kit for £175 which is adjustable. Not worth going cheap with this mate as you will cause yourself more problems in the long run.

I terms of price it can vary from garage to garage, that is if they are willing to touch your torsion bar. Cost me only £80 to get it lowered, which is pretty cheap. Probably looking at about £150 average i guess

have to agree i would get new shocks etc if you go down 50mm or lower

We're getting ours lowered 50mm near end of month and its £200 for supply and fitting of springs

What springs are being supplied? Like I previously said, go for shocks as well, better for your car in the long run

Your asking for major trouble if your on standard shocks mate. Sooner or later your gonna get some bad problems. You should definately put some shocks on the rear

Think its either PI or Avo springs

The guy we are taking it too said it should be good for another 40,000, will prob end up getting shocks when we have some money

At 60 id say you need uprated shocks, but there are loads of people on this site down 50 on eibachs with standard shocks and theyre fine.

Anything lower than 30mm with standard shocks and the ride will be awful. Dont the springs unseat when the car is jacked up?
Make sure the car is level all round, or slightly higher at the rear. 60-90 will be shit, whatever the lad reckons it handles like.
