Black Rubber Thingy (CV Boot - maybe)

  1. #1
Okay, coming back from the body shop, my Driver side front wheel started making an grinding, rubbing wereing noise, got home took the wheel off and found grease all up the inside of the wheel arch and a clip which i think held the CV boot together (rubber thingy behind brake disc - dont quote me on this)hanging off..

Now is it true there is some kind if joint that need to be constantly lub'd in there?? so will i need to replace this or the whole driveshaft or just stick more grease in there and seal it????

    Any help will be great!!!

yes your correct that is the CV joint, you could get the grease and fill the joint again and then reclip it warning: only get the clip from citroen OR get a big jubilee clip and tighten it right up NOTHING else will work beleive me i have been there.

If the CV joint is fucked it will be far cheaper and easier to replace the whole shaft
