problem is both ideas are flawed... superchargers are a pain because no one really knows where to mount a charger and often they are bigger so jigging stuff about to make it fit is an arse.
On the other hand, everyone knows where a turbo goes, and due to the forward manifold design of the saxo, then it slots in there and is natually cooled (a bit) by incoming air etc... manifolds are readily available and on the whole a turbo conversion (in comparison) is fairly cost effective given the gains.
The downside is, the problems... your putting excess strain on an engine that was 90/100bhp from the factory and stretchin another 20bhp out of that in n/a form is hard enough as it is... so forcing another 4-6psi into the cylinders is putting strain on every other internal componant... also remember that whatever you do your going to need to uprate other componants to cope with the added performance of the conversion (brakes etc) so it doesnt just stop at bolting a dirty great blower to your motor and spanking it everywhere!
If it was easy then we'd all be flying around in 200bhp pocket rockets but the reality is that id never dream of turbo'ing my paxo... just on reliability grounds alone. That said, theres nowt better than "that" sound really is there
heres to wishing!!
