VTR Breather Mods

   Thought it would be a good idea to start a thread with all reccomended breather mods. filters, exhaust, manifold etc.
   Post what you have got and reasons why;
   When i get my VTR, i have pretty much decided on the following;
   Magnex Cat Back- i want a quiet exhaust so that it doesn't drown out engine noise/induction noise. Wanted something that is only loud when booting it. Not the best looking exhaust but only one i could find that it quiet enough.
   
   Milltek 4 branch manifold including sports cat- Looks like a very good piece of kit. Have been tempted by the likes of piper and supersprint but i would have to change back to standard every year for MOT. Milltek can stay on all year and looks like there are good power gains to be had.
   
   Pipercross Open Cone/Green Enclosed, BMC for Summer
   Undecided on this really. I want an open cone filter for the cold months where hot air is not such a big issue so i can get that amazing induction noise. The pipercross i know is VERY loud, would go for the green enclosed if it is as loud....if anyone knows.
   BMC for the summer to keep intake temps down.
   
   Anyone dissagree or have suggestions.

   powertech make the most noise ive ever heard mate you can tell a motor with a powertech open cone.

   I have:
   
   Green Enclosed - Because I was offered it at a good price. But it would have been between that and a BMC or Pro-Comp.
   
   GMC SS Manifold - As I knew it'd fit and the oil filter did not need to be moved.
   
   Full Magnex - Like you said subtle until given some stink and I think it looks ok.
   
   The three combined sound really good at 4k rpm plus.

   duno if i should go with the milltek with sports cat or a decat manifold,
   worrying about it sounding too raspy though...

   Both the Piper 4-1 and the Supersprint 4-2-1 will fit without changing / relocating the oil filter

    What are the piper and supersprint like compared to the milltek?
    similar gains? with them being a decat manifold, does it make the car sound raspy?
