Knocking/Clunking noise

  1. #1
When I first got my vts, it made a hideous clunking noise whenever I turned at very low speed. Took it to garage any they said it was the top mounts. So I bought new mounts, drop links, lowering springs and dampers.. Fitted them on, and it solved the problem. Now, 5 months later, the clunking noise is back, and as bad as ever.. when I turned the steering wheel today, with my hand on the offside front wheel, when it clunked, the front wheel jolts... Anyone know anything about this or had the same??
    Cheers

    Are the springs seated properly?

are the track rod ends ok,

mines got a split track rod end and it does this

sounds like the strut top bearings could be seized, causing the spring to jump when the wheel is turned.

Well the springs should be seated properly, I did it myself and when I put it all on, they were in there nice n tight. The strut top mounts are only 5 months old so its hard to imagine they're seized already, Plus it only clunks when I turn at under 10-20mph, so if they were seized, wouldn't it do it everytime I turn regardless of speed? As for tracking rods, I know the drivers side one was brand new just put on when I bought the car last June.. Could be the other side, but if it was this, why did it stop when I put all the new suspension on back in july?? This has got me stumped...

my cv joint was f*cked and made a clunking noise. even though there new one of them might not of been fitted correctly. is the noise coming from the left or right side?
