im picking up my new exhaust system on saturday

it is a magnex system with a ABP straight through centre section.

i was wondering how i go about de-catting it. i have a phase 2 VTR.

also which manifold do you guys think i should buy to get the best out of my new exhaust sytem??

    and help greatly appreciated!!

your cat is on the manifold iirc. just change over the manifold and the car will be gone!

    You need a new manifold

If the centre pipe is straight through (iirc?) just bolt on a new Cat MOT-time

Raceland are cheaper but SuperSprint are better, also cost £100odd more but well worth it if you can stretch

Kam racing do both reduced for Sax-p

Could always get a cat for under the car, for MOT time.

I'm not mechanical either but it's a piece of piss to do! It's just a case of unbolting a small piece of pipe and bolting the cat in it's place, and vice versa after the MOT.

For the later MK2 98bhp VTR, you need to fit a Magnex de-cat pipe, centre section and backbox to get the full cat back system. For de-catting, simply change the manifold and when it comes to MOT time, unbolt the de-cat pipe and slot in a CAT from an older VTR.
