thnaks, when you say everyday use.. what do you mean? Obviously i understand these are a bit bigger and therefore heavier. I am getting 195/40/16 tyres.. and apparantly falken tyres are meant to be one of the best as they have better clearonce i got told today

I think if you want to avoid the possibility of rubbing etc its better getting a 195/40 tyre with 16's...

As its been said 16's are more for looks but tbh imo 15's look perfect. Not too small, and not too big (i'd say big alloys are out at the moment).

    All you're choice though

and if i did buy the 15's, how much could i lower it by? and how much could i lower it with the 16's,, without doing anywork to the saxo.

lowering springs > eibach ones from kam racing - http://www.kam-racing.co.uk/product_...products_id/85

RickyPRPM did the lowering - can get you his number if you like, he's a member on here and done loads of peoples cars for them.

Its all upto you at the end of the day mate, 16's will be more for both the alloys and the tyre but i think you'll still be fine down 50mm on 16's... Depends whether you want a slightly bigger alloy look and whether you're bothered about money or not!

as furiofanatic told me on 16's she needed 25mm spacers on back and 20mm spacers on front, so with 15's you are saying you dont need anything?? If thats the case my mind will be made up ! how much did it cost you to have someone lower it for you??

    Thanks alex

16's with a 40 profile tyre an you can lower it up to 60mm no probs.
  17. #17
    but then ill need spacers?
  18. #18
Spacers depend on the offset of the alloy itself. Providing the offset is between ET15-18 you'll be fine... If, for example, the alloy was ET38, you'd need 20mm spacers because 38-20=18 which is within the correct offset for the saxo.

I'll vouch for the fact that its not easy to find alloys in the correct offset for a Saxo as standard and a lot of people have to use spacers. Using spacers was something i definitely didn't want to have to do because personally i don't trust them.
