Over the weekend i decided to modify my standard grille as it was looking abit dull, decided to spray it in gloss black to brighten it up. took out the slats from behind and mesh it and spray that black. in the middle of doing my headlamps black at the mo. what do you all think of the grille, pics arent brill as was on my phone as the batteries are dead in my digi cam.

yeah it dont look too bad, thought i would have a go at the standard one rather than spend £50 or so on an upgrade one.

took a little patience, had to break the back slatted panel off the back which is on with crappy little spot welds of plastic, then cut the slats which was akward leaving the surrounding ring as all the fixings are on this, then had to cut mesh the shape as the openings each side because it cant be done in one piece as the badge bracket goes right through, then had to put the front cover on which has the badge on and glue the tabs on the back which i had to break off.
took the badge off which is only clipped on then primed and sprayed it, let the paint dry over night and popped the badge back on.

It is frustrating and fidderly but i think its worth it.
