   smoking headlights at w.end and wana remove the little caps tthat sit in front of the bulbs?? is this illegal??

   not as far as im aware, my mate done it and it looked really really bright, not sure if it'll pass mot, its probably there for a reason.

   you got to ask yourself is it worth being pulled over for, and the hassle of pulling the headlamp apart again to put them back in.

   yeh i wouldnt do it, the little cap reflects the light back onto the mirrored surround so the light covers more area, the light will be brighter when you take it off but it will be more concentrated, id leave it on

   Iv taken the covers off mine as they were yellowy and put silvertec bulbs in, they are not too bright it looks so much better and yes it past the MOT no problems
